ACULAX SYRUP
Aculax syrup contains lactulose. It makes the stool softer and easier to pass, by drawing water into the bowel. Aculax syrup is used to treat constipation.

Dosage
Adults:
Usual initial dose: 30 ml
Maintenance dose: 15 ml – 30 ml
Children (6 – 14 years):
Usual initial dose: 15 ml
Maintenance dose: 10 ml – 15 ml
Children (1 – 5 years):
Usual initial dose: 10 ml
Maintenance dose: 5 ml – 10 ml
Infants:
Usual initial dose: 5 ml
Maintenance dose: 2,5 ml – 5 ml
Use of laxatives in children, infants and babies should be exceptional and under medical supervision because it can influence the normal reflexes for passing stools.
Do not give Aculax syrup to children before consulting your health care provider.
